Do I need General Occupancy Training?

The QLD Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008 and Australian Standards 3745-2010 requires all staff to be trained in General Evacuation Instructions or General Occupant Training every year.

Frequency:                              Every 1 year

Training Covers:

  • Identifying and reporting emergencies and hazards.
  • Preventing emergencies
  • The role of the emergency control organisation and warden’s identification
  • Procedures for emergency response.
  • Respond to alarms and reports of emergency
  • Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan
  • Means of raising the alarm
  • Fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets
