Fire Training Courses
Fire Extinguisher Training
Are your staff trained to use fire extinguishers correctly?
The QLD Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008 and Australian Standards 3745-2010 requires all staff to be trained in first response procedures every 2 years.
The training covers the use of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets. Our fire extinguisher training course is a combination of both theory and practical components.
For this training we can have up to 25 participants per class. Training will generally take around 1 - 1.5 hours. We can come to you or you can come to our classroom facility.
Chief Warden Training
Is your Chief Warden trained to coordinate and manage your Fire Wardens & building occupants?
The QLD Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008 and Australian Standards 3745-2010 requires key staff such as chief and deputy wardens to be trained in an evacuation coordination Instruction course annually.
The training covers Emergency Control Organisation (ECO), Chief Fire Warden, Evacuation Coordination Duties, Fire Indicator Panel (FIP) / Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System (EWIS) components.
For this training we can have up to 15 participants per class. Training will generally take around 45 minutes. We can come to you or you can come to our classroom facility.
Fire Warden Training
Are your Fire Wardens equipped with the expert knowledge & practical skills to evacuate building occupants safely?
The QLD Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008 and Australian Standards 3745-2010 requires key staff such as fire wardens to be trained in an evacuation coordination instruction course annually.
The training covers Fire Warden duties, the role of the ECO, and dealing with scenarios of different types of emergencies i.e. fires, chemical incidents, lock-down and bomb threats.
For this training we can have up to 25 participants per class. Training will generally take around 1.5 hours. We can come to you or you can come to our classroom facility.
Evacuation Practice
Does your workplace complete an ANNUAL evacuation drill?
The Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 requires the occupier of a building to conduct an evacuation practice of the building or workplace annually to test the effectiveness of the emergency procedures as detailed in the Fire and Evacuation Plan.
The training covers Evacuation Practice/ Drill, Briefing and report. We can conduct this training for your entire site or part of it. Training will take around 30-40 minutes.
In-House Training
Do you only have a few staff that need to be trained? Or perhaps you just like the idea of your team attending a training facility off site?
We offer a number of practical training courses that will help you learn fire safety in case of an emergency.
We run all in-house training courses in our main office at 7/55-57 Township Drive, West Burleigh Gold Coast, QLD 4219.
Fire Safety Adviser Course
Develop practical skills to become a Fire Safety Adviser in your workplace.
As of 1 July 2009, under the Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008, all high occupancy buildings are legally required to appoint a Fire Safety Adviser.
The course equips participants with the skills and knowledge needed to advise on appropriate emergency planning, making them familiar with all aspects of building fire safety.
